ADOPTION EDUCATION PROGRAMS

Parent Resources for Information, Development and Education (P.R.I.D.E.) training courses will be mandatory in Ontario for families applying to adopt a child as of January 1, 2007.

Plans have been in process for this last year to address the need for training in P.R.I.D.E. in the private and international adoption area.

Watch for an announcement indicating that the website that will coordinate P.R.I.D.E. sessions for when this sector is operational. The location of this website will be www.ontariopridetraining.org, however, as of Feb. 2008 the site is not available.
